Hi Sandra, Here are some possibilities taken from the old Post Office locator: Redwood , San Francisco Redwood City , San Mateo Redwood Estates , Santa Clara Redwood Park , Santa Cruz Redwood Valley , Mendocino The one that survives as a major city is Redwood City-San Mateo. I didn't find anything in the way of mining camps with the name Redwood in Gudde_California Gold Camps_. Gudde_ California Place Names_ lists Redwood City, in San Mateo. This is a a vague one.
