    1. Grizzly Flat/Bath
    2. On the map (USGS Foresthill 7.5' Quad) it appears that Bath is about 4 miles SE of Grizzly Flat. Historic Spots in California, 1966, says (p273) that Grizzly Flat is at the head of Grizzly Canyon and one of the old towns within 5 miles of Iowa Hill. Grizzly Flat is about 2 miles SE of Iowa Hill. Historic Spots also(p274) says Bath is about a mile NE of Foresthill , then a mile south. A road goes south of the 1 mile NE site, but the road which is called Bath Road on the county map goes ENE of the "1 mile NE" site. I guess I don't really know quite where Bath was. "Forest fires have devastated the area , and only the diggings and a few old locust trees remain at Bath". If you get to the area, the "1 mile NE" site is probably where the CDF fire station is. Historic Spots says Bath was at one of the "dry gulches debouching into Volcano Canyon". Grizzly Canyon heads into Shirtail Canyon and Volcano Canyon into the Middle Fork of the American River. There are two cemeteries related to Foresthill, one just at the SE edge of town, the other, nearly a mile NE of town and just about across the highway from the CDF fire station. For Iowa Hill, the cemetery is just north of town.
