This picture isn't scanned, but it might be of interest to someone. My great grandmother's brother worked as an engineer associated with the SUNNY HILL MINE (quartz mine) in SHASTA COUNTY. I have a 5x7 mounted picture of that mine with Lewis Barlow in the foreground. You can see the hillside mine works, including the tracks going up to the works. (And forgive me if I don't have the right mining terminology.) Anyone interested, I can scan the shot and e-mail it, though it would be a large jpg file.
