I am hoping someone can help me find death/burial/cemetery, etc. information on my 49'er, NEHEMIAH VAN FOSSEN. My last record of him is the Mendocino Great Register of 1902. He is not listed in CADI so he probably died before 1905. I know he lived in Butte Co., Mendocino Co., and possibly Tehama Co. I have requested information from the Lists for those counties to no avail. I am desperate to find my great-great-great grandfather. Family history has always listed him as dying in Ohio in 1850, leaving my great-great grandfather an orphan. Imagine my surprise when I found that he had not died, but had gone to California in 1849 with his father and brother, acquiring a new wife and a parcel of children on the way west!
