To all you Byers cousins: Could someone come up with some background history for the origins of the Byers name from the Scot-Irish side and the German side? I still don't know from which background I come from. From the Scot-Irish side I hear of three brothers who came over and we are their descendents. Name could of been Byrs. The Byers came from the Lindsay clan. From the German side, the name was once, Boyers or Beyers or ? It's not listed on the Pall. lists. Does anyone have any facts, and genealogical lines they have traced from Scotland, Ireland, and Germany, dates and names of ships, etc., where they settled (in PA) and how they spread out? Part of the reason I enjoy genealogy is for the history, a personal history. I'm not having much luck tracing backwards. Thought I might be able to work going forward. Thanks and God bless.
