Hi Phil, I don't have any information on your relative, but can suggest you check with the Civil War registry's on the web, and the Association of American Boyers, also on the web. I've started to research my ancestors who came from the Palatinate, Germany, in the 18th century. Your ancestor may have originated there too ... ? They either landed in England, Ireland, NY, or PA. It's an interesting story starting with the French invasion of the Palatine in 1688.
