We have a George Byers who was the father of at least: 1.Fanny (Frances)b about 1812 Dumfriesshire, Scotland 2.John b 12 August 1816 Dumfriesshire,Scotland m Margaret CARRUTHERS and emigrated to South Australia 1839 aboard "Fairfield" and settled in Golden Grove, SA. 3. Christian b Circa 1817 m 1. John HUTTON 26 June 1851 m 2. William BALLS 274 March 1857 Fanny emigrated to South Australia (we don't know when) and married George JOHNSTON 23 Feb 1848 and this is our connection.
