Her name was Belmina Byers, and she was born in Ohio in 1828. All I know of her parents is that they were both born in Pennsylvania. I found Belmina in the 1850 census, in Columbiana County (Yellow Creek township, town of Wellsville), Ohio, at age 22. She is living with a John and Mary Carter, but I have no idea of her relationship with the Carters. Why, at age 22 & single she isn't still living at home escapes me. Anyone have a Byers line in PA or OH that might fit in with this information? Belmina had one daughter, Olive, which is the only clue that might point to Belmina's mother's name. Thanks so much. Susan
