I suspect -- but cannot prove -- that Amzi and/or Alemith Byers of St Clair Co were related to the family of Nathaniel Byers of Rutherford Co NC. The reason for this suspicion is that a brother-in--law of Nathaniel Byers Jr. (Evan Watkins) moved from Rutherford Co NC to St Clair Co AL, where Amzi and Alemith Byers appear to have been friends and/or neighbors of the Watkins and allied families.
