Most of my early genealogy was based on the Association of American Boyers. I had always wonder how accurate it was, and was frustrated by not being able to trace my ancestors back to their origins in Europe. However, with the aid of DNA testing in might be possible to my genealogy and find the family roots. Recently, I had a male relative take the 37 marker test and was able to compare it with a 3rd cousin twice removed. The match was perfect! Now I can state with a high degree of certainty that we are definitely related, and the work of the American Boyer Association is accurate to the point were our family lines cross. Our common ancestor is our fourth great-grandfather (b. abt 1760, d 1826)! I would like to encourage the other Byers to join our search.
