His brother Joseph Judson Byers is my 4 or 5th great grandfather. I have Samuel's fathers information as well but heres what I have on Samuel. Samuel Robert Byers was born abt 1750 and died Bet. 1830-1840 He married Sarah ? about 1775 in probably South Carolina Notes: Samuel left Chester County, PA before 1774 and moved to S.C. He married Sarah between 1770-1775, and their first recorded child was born in Spartenburg, SC in 1780. More research is needed to determine if he was a soldier in the revolutionary war. Samuel Robert was a Scotch Presbyterian (STRICT Presbyterian), as were his ancestors when they moved to America. Samuel's first born son, Joseph Judson(My 4 or 5th Great Grandfather) became a minster of the Primitive Baptist Church. Joseph's conversion to the baptist church caused trouble in his family; since he had been christened in a Presbyterian church and was brought up by a strict presbyterian parents. James Byers Born between 1785-1790 4. Francis C. Byers DOB: March 18 1789 5. David Byers DOB Abt: 1792 6. Robert Byers DOB Abt:1794 7.
