SC (son of Samuel Byers and Margaret Handley) and Sarah McCarson b. @1783 in Bumcombe Co. NC William and Sarah are gone after the 1830 Federal Census. THere is no sale or giving of land. Would like to know if any of their desendance and any stories about grandparents that were to visit and did not show up. They had the following children: Margaret b. 1806 m. William Abraham McMinn Jane under 10 in 1810 m. Joseph Merrell William b. about 1810 m. Sarah Jane Russell (my grandfather) Adeline b. about 1812 m. William P. Murry Daughter? David b. 1818 m. Catherine Patton Son T.B. ? Margaret moved to Alabama, Jane moved to Gilmer Co. Georgia, but came back to Buncombe William stayed in Bumcombe Co. NC and is buried on the Byers place. Adeline moved to Mississippi where she died, but her father had her back to Bumcombe, Co. NC for final burial. David lived in Ruthford, Co.
