John's father was a Capt. George Byers. Some have identified him (George) with Johan George Boyer, son of John Heinrich (Beier) Beyer and Elizabeth Maria Zerbe. I'm not so sure that this identification is correct, but would like to hear from anyone with any thoughts on this matter, or any interest in the Butler Co., Pa. Byers clan.
