I have found myself at a "brick wall" on my ggg grandfather, John A. Byers. He was born about 1779, possibly in Scotland. His children all appear to have been born in Ohio beginning about 1803. I know his son, John A. Byers, Jr. was born 14 Nov 1819 in Ohio. John Jr. died in 1891 in Glenwood, Iowa, and is buried in Glenwood. I am trying to find information on when and where (presumably Ohio) John A. Byers Sr. died. I would also like to find birth information on him since I'm not entirely certain of his birth date or location. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Joyce

I visited and documented the Prichard-Byers-Robertson-White family cemetery in Wilson Co TN over the weekend. It is now posted on the Wilson Co TN rootsweb's site http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnwcogs/cemetery/prichard01.html I also have a photo taken about 1893 of Lucretia Prichard Byers (1832 Wilson Co TN) and Moses A. Byers (1824 TN) with one of the twin grand-daughters they raised, Martha Flaura Robertson White (1867 Wilson Co TN) and her husband, James Henry White (1869 Warren Co TN) at this site.
