William Byers that married Sarah Jane Russell was born about 1810. On his tombstone it is listed as 1816 the stone carver got it wrong and it was never fixed. I have a picture of the stone. Sarah Jane Russell was the daughter of Barbara Milnster Russell. Sarah Jane and her sister Narcissa Ann were born out of wedlock, James Russell husband of Barbara died in 1812, Narcissa Ann was born 1815 and Sarah Jane was born 1814-19. Children of William and Sarah are Hardy John, James Simeon, my 3th g grandfather) Samuel Gerome, David Augustus, Thomas C., Narcissa Jane, William Pinkney. David McCarson did indeed deed land to William Byers in 1812. This was most likely to William born 1782 and his father-in-law, and grandpa to the above children. Any thoughts, most welcome.
