    2. Dear Candayce, I have been asking every BYERS researcher if they have come across a Green Don Byers born about 1837, probably in SC. He is first found on the Greene Co., AR 1860 census and is listed as a lawyer. He joined the confederate army, was elected a captain and was killed at the Battle of Helena.
