Dear Jeannie, My family lore is that our Byers came from Scotland. I have also read that BYERS may have originated in Germany and migrated to the British Isles. I have only one male Byers descendant in our line, but can't find him to get a DNA sample. So I am stuck. My only chance of tracing our line back past 1837 is this Byers group.
