Capt Green Don or Don Green Byers is listed in the Greene Co., AR 1860 census as BIARS, attorney at law, 23 years old, born in SC. Working backward he would have been born in 1837. He joined the CSA Army 28 June 1862 and was died 18 July 1863. I've been on this list for some time and have not seen any Byers from SC. If anyone can help identify the parents or the county in SC i will be most appreciative. Phil Di Matteo
