    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UFH.2ACEB/620.2.2.1.2.1.1.2.1.2 Message Board Post: My line reaches to Jacob Byers Sr. B. 27 Dec 1797 in Hanover, York Co., Pa. D. 6 Oct 1877 in Lawrence Co. In. I have a pic of his headstone. I just looked through my files and I don't have any byers family in Johnson, In. My people are from Greene Co., Monroe Co. and Lawrence Co. Also, this may throw a wrench into our conservation, but I don't have a Martin. When I posted that message, I was working off of (thin) memory. I should have posted for Morton, not Martin. Something else I have found working w/ this line, is sometimes the name was spelled Beyers. Depending on family confrotations, one may spell his name differently just so that they wouldn't appear to be family to someone they were angry with. (crazy, but try to look for both names.) Feel free to write to me at my personal e-mail if you have any other questions. I have a bunch of byers in my line, and I'll be happy to share or hunt for names as you need. j_knee_d@yahoo.com Janie

    2. Hi, We may be tied into the same family line that originated in Chester County, PA about 1720? As the old story goes, there were three brothers: Samuel, Hans, and Martin. The information comes from a book from The American Boyers, Volume 3. It is chapter BA, and is about 300 pages long. I have not verify most of the information, but most of my family line in on my web site: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~cabyers/ Please let me know if I can help.
