Good Evening all, Today I found some very interesting information I have missed before in my search of William Redding (Redin) Byers. To just briefly recap, he is the son of William Byers and Mary Roper of Pickens Co SC, he was born in 1840 and had the following siblings Elizabeth, Julia, Thomas, Catherine and James Riley Redin moved to Dawson Co GA November of 1867 and I have been desperately trying to find when he died and where he was buried. When Ga put their death certificates online I found that much sought after information!! I know now he died in 1923 in Ellenwood, the district on the death cert is one where one of his granddaughters lives (She was a Mashburn that married a Venable). This brings about a new mystery...I cannot find him on any of the census records for 1920, I know he was in Bartow Co around 1915 (pension payments were transferred there) and I know before that he was in Dawson CO (where they settled when they moved to GA). In researching somethings over again today I realized I had totally missed that his father William had remarried sometime before 1870 to a woman named Temperance and had more children with her, Andrew, Ester and Alice and they were in GA by 1880 living in Dawson county as well. I am trying to find anyone that might have information on Temperance or any of her children and hopefully I might find a new link to where he might have been living in 1920 thanks in advance Shannon -- Do you love genealogy?
