Hi Listers: I am looking for information on the descendants of George Frederick Byers of PA who married Catharine Sams. George Frederick came from Germany between 1760 and 1770. He and Catherine had the following children: George b abt 1784, John b abt 1786, Henry b abt 1788, Garrett b abt 1790, Martin b abt 1792, Issac b abt 1794, Betsey b abt 1796, Mary M. b abt 1798 and Jacob b abt 1800. The child Martin is the one I am particularly interested in. He and his brother Garrett were both in Belmont Co., OH in 1830 and 1840 (according to the census). Martin did not appear on the 1850 census and I have not been able to locate anything further on him. I would like to know who he married and where he went from Belmont Co. I have run across a couple of Martins in PA in 1850, but since I don't know who he married, I am unable to determine if either of them are the right person. Can anyone out there help me?
