My family lore is that 11 brothers came to America (no time frame) from Scotland (may not be correct). My great grandfather Green Don BYERS was born about 1837 in SC, USA. He moved to Arkansas and is listed as a lawyer in 1860 Greene County census. He married Nancy Jane ELLIS in 1862/3. G. D. Byers was shot on 4 July 1836 at the Battle of Helena and died 18 Juky in a Union hospital in Memphis, TN. You have been the first Byers to mention 11 siblings.
