Byers is of German decent. I am related to this line through Henry Byers. One thing I did find the other day was A list of the Conawago Colony (low dutch) Baptism list contains the name Jores Byer and Anna Catriena Sa(smuged) which is believed to be Sams. They were Baptised on 13 Nov 1785 which would be about the time of marriage or this is the date of marriage.
