I started genealogy research back in August, and have come across so much information. My cousin is shocked at how much has "just fallen in my lap". Anyway, I am a Byers, my maiden name. I'll be 35 Dec. 18th. I have traced 14 generations on the Byers side. I have a George Byers in my line, he was my great, great grandfather. I don't think it's the same on you were talking about. He was born in Butler county on Nov 11, 1835. His parents were Adam and Susanah (Thorn) Byers. He married a Amanda Jane Mock, not sure when. One of his sons, William E. Byers(born Jan 26, 1868) moved to Ohio in 1901. George & Amanda followed sometime in 1908. I have an obit of George, and he had a brother named Daniel of Tyrone county, and a brother named Louis of Chicora and a sister, but the obit says Mrs. Barnhart of Chicora Pa. I haven't gotten into the 3 of them as of yet. I'm working on 6 different families. Yickes! Trying to get something together to give to my father in law for christmas.
