I have searched high and low for any information on the marrige of Margaret Minium to William Byers. She had 4 children by him before marrying Ledyard Parker. Margaret gave up 3 of the 4 children to the Minium family to raise. In the 1850 census, one can see a baby named Benjamin Franklin Parker ( but he was not a "Parker." My suspicion is that William died around 1848 and Margaret had to send her children packing to the Minium relations ( some of whom went to Illinois.) My great-grandfather was James William Byers. He was born 1844. Prior to his birth was Eli Byers and Julian Byers. After James William, Benjamin was born. I can prove that Margaret was married to Mr. Parker but I canont find where she married William Byers. On some entries on other sites, it was noted that Margaret was indeed married to William Byers but I can find no one to verify that nor which record is available to prove it.
