I am descended from William Byers b. 1816 in NC and Sarah Russell b. 1819 in NC, through their son James Simeon Byers and Mary Jane Miller. Williams father was a William as well b. @1782 in York Co. SC and Sarah McCarson. Williams father was Samuel b. 1749 in York Co. PA and Margaret Handley Samuels father was David b. 1721/25 in Ireland and Margaret Carson David's father was William "Emigrant"b. 1687 in England and married Elizabeth Cox Williams father was William b. 1647 in England and married Louisa Kinkade I am trying to find out what happened to William and Sarah McCarson as they disappeared after the 1830 Buncombe County census.
