Children I believe are: William b. abt 1809, d. 15 Feb 1842 Athens Co., Ohio; Nancy b. abt 1807; Eliza b. abt 1809; Ellen b. abt 1811; Samuel b. abt 1813; John A. Jr. b. 14 Nov 1819 Ohio; Thomas b. abt 1821; Sophia b. abt 1823. All children apparently born in Ohio. John A. Byers, Jr. moved his family from Noble Co., Ohio to Mills Co., Iowa in 1853. John A. Byers, Sr. bought land from the government in Stark Co., Paris Township, Ohio on 27 Apr 1816. Any connection or assistance would be appreciated.

Darlene was living in Pomeory, Ohio. Darlene's grandmother was Marinda Ridley of Sheffield, England and then of Toledo, Ohio.

    3. Dear List: Once again I make my plea for help. I am looking for the parents and siblings (if any) of Green Don (Donathon) BYERS. Based on the 1860 Greene Co., AR census he was born abt 1837 in SC. He was a CSA Capt. and killed in the Battle of Helena (AR). He had only one child (a son). I've searched the 1850 AR census index for Byers born in SC and found none. I desperately need help to locate his parents or siblings. Family lore is that he was Scots/Irish descent.     3. Dear List, Have been gone for quite awhile but now trying to back to work (fun, too). Am looking for the birthplace and family of Calvin G. Byers who, according to the 1900 Census of Grayson County, Texas and as reported by his widow and children, was born in Georgia, ca. 1855-59. I have no other clues as to his parents, siblings. In 1881 he married Anna Salmons in Missouri where Anna was born ca. 1859-61. Her folks were married in Lincoln Co., Missouri so perhaps Anna was born there. Maybe.. They lived in Fayette Co., PA and had several children: John Henry b. 09 Dec 1843, James Lewis b. 22 Sept 1850, William Finley b. 19 Oct 1852, and James Veach b. 10 Sept 1855. I am searching for information on Laura Byers Born in 1882 in Kentucky. Her father was Perry Byers. Rumor has it that she was orphaned and I don't know if Perry is her real father or if he adopted her or if he just took her in. She is listed in the 1910 Kentucky Miracode Census Index as living with her Brother-in-law Commadore Hunt. They were living in Butler County at the time.
