Died July 17, 1924, age 69, according to the Green Hill Cemetary records. Married Emma C. Geiser, one child, Virginia, b. 3/6/1897 in Mummasburg, PA and d.4/8/1975 in Waynesboro Hospital at age 78. I have no other information on this man, his middle name could have been William. His other siblings were, Henry W., John Adam, Pevilla I., Emeline E., Anna Maria, Sariah Ann and Lavina R. There may have been others. Issac & Sara are buried in Fairview Cemetary in Arendtsville, PA. Let me know if we have a match. Would love to see if he fits into my dead end. Sally Byers

I had two brothers named Lonnie and Hildrey after Felix's two brothers-my father was very fond of them. Lonnie and Hillary's families become lost to other Byers's in Ill. as years went by except that they went to Texas. My father and mother visited them there in the early years of thier lives. My ggrandmother was born Mary Katherine Byers in 1871 or 1872. She married Elbert Severe Gates in 1886. Her first child was Lewis Gates (my grandfather) and he was born in Gentry, Arkansas in 1886. I have found a Mary Byers in Arkansas in 1871 or 1872. If this is the right Mary, the census of 1880 (Van Buren County, Hartstuggs) show her to be orphaned and living with a step mother Mararet M. Byers. I think her father was the Riley Byers of the 1870 census in the same town. But I don't really have confirmation of this. Does anyone out there have knowledge of this family?

I don't have any info on your Byers family, but, I hope you can help me. I am looking for the parents and/or siblings of Green Don Byers born 1837 in SC (based on 1860 Greene Co., AR census). He was a Capt. in the Confederate Army. He was shot at the Battle of Helena on 4 July 1863 and died in Memphis 18 July 1863. He had one son born after he died. I don't know how or when he got to AR. There is family conjecture that he may have been born out of wedlock. Any help will be appreciated.
