I did not know that she remarried after Richard if she did that would have been her full name. With Moses it gets rather confusing. Moses Bumgarner is Moses Byers real father. Moses Byers was born out of wedlock. Moses Bumgarner lived next door to Margret Peggy Byers. Moses got Margret Peggy Byers pregnant and they never married. It is in court documents where Margret Parents sued the Bumgarners for what appears to be child support. I think they got like 50.00 bucks. Margret Peggy Byers raised Moses with his father's first name but not his fathers last name. There are so instances when he was young that he is listed as Moses Byers Bumgarner but mostly he is called Moses Byers. Moses Bumgarner married Charity Inchard. If Moses Bumgarner and Margret Byers had of married our last name would all be Bumgarners. Oh Moses Bumgarner was Born in Lincoln NC in 1774 His father is John T Bumgarner and his Mother was Nancy Ro! ckett. Johne (Moses father) was married to another Nancy at a different time. I think the Nancy with the last name Rockett is his mother though. Hope this helps. I will be home in 5 weeks and I can not wait. I will start showing my pomeranians in the Sept 24 dog show in Ft Worth and I am working on a web page. The web page should be called www.bentleypoms.com and when it is finished you can see a great deal about me and all my poms. I am glad to have gotten a chance to know about you.

I am curious to know if you have any idea where Rosina Harris Byers Edmundson died? I know she married after Richard Fieldings death but I have not been able to find her after the 1880 census in Illinois. Any ideas or information? I have done quite a bit of Byers research if you are interested. Osborn Byers is probably buried in Duncanville, Dallas County, TX as that is the last place I see him living (1881-1882 Dallas County Directory). I think I even know what cemetery but have not been able to confirm it yet. He adopted a Byers child born in Alabama in the 1860's but I do not have a copy of the record yet. That child was named Florence H Byers and she may be our first link to who Moses Byers really was! We will see what the research shows. I went to College for the same thing as you but decided my senior year that I couldn't stand it and majored in Speech Communication instead. I have never regretted that decision. I also share your passion for animals. I thought about doing a career change (currently I am in Real Estate). I just came home from Houston and am hoping to move there by the end of summer. I hope you have a safe trip home and I will be glad to see you out of Iraq. Hope to hear from you. Your distant cousin. Lori
