    1. Minnie Patterson (Byers) of GA/KY
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Franklin, Harris, Byers, Patterson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UFH.2ACEB/915 Message Board Post: Sarah A. Franklin b. abt 1840 (GA) had 2 daughters, Minnie (date of birth unknown) and Millie b. abt.Jan 1888 (GA) and I believe their last names were Patterson. Sarah Franklin (m) J. Wesley Harris sept 14, 1894 Fannin Co, GA; they had children Maude, John Henry, Ola N, Marion G.,Stella (all born in GA between 1895-1910). The family then moved to KY, settling in Simpson & Warren Counties throughout the remainder of their lives. Census reccords show Millie living in the home of Sarah & Wesley in 1900. However, she ran away from home when she was 13 or 14 and married Henry Thomas Harris (Wesley's brother). I cannot however, locate Minnie in the census. I have no idea who raised her. However, I was told that she married someone by the last name of Byers/Buyers in GA and then moved to KY at some point after he died. She died there years later, in a nursing home and never remarried. If you have any information on Minnie or Millie (or their families), please contact me. I would like to learn more about these two. Thank you, Lisa

Surnames: byers, wires, cox Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UFH.2ACEB/878.1 Message Board Post: Harlow was born Harley G. on October 30, 1854, and married Susan Wiers (Wires) on November 3, 1878. Harlow died on October 6, 1942 in Circleville Ohio. He was the son of Joseph Byers (b. March 17, 1813 in Washington, PA.) and Rachel Cox (b. 1812). They were married in Elizabethtown, PA in 1837. I have been unable to find out who Joseph's and Rachel's parents were. Joseph died in Circleville in 1904, and Rachel died in Athens in 1885. Harley was my great-grandfather. Harley's son George Philip was my grandfather. Susan's father may have been Washington Wires, but I have not been able to confirm that. I have additional information and would be glad to share it with you. You can e-mail me at schwartz@horizonview.net
