War pension application (S40768) of George Buyers. He was a Sgt. in the Revolution, and I guess a Capt. in the War of 1812, and I believe the father of John Byers and Catherine (Hartman) Byers. He was living in Sugar Creek Twp., Armstrong Co. in 1820, aged 63. Wife Susannah d. about 3 years earlier (c. 1817), married children were George and Jane; also there was a 3rd married child, hopefully John.

    3. Correction on my earlier email--when I opened my Fam Tree Maker files, I opened it in another file that I had received recently by email and saved to my computer. When I realized this a few minutes ago, I pulled up my file. I did find a Alvah L. Byers married to an Eva E. Phillips. Alvah, b. 10 Feb 1876 in Indiania and d. 11 Jun 1951. It doesn't appear that this is the one you are looking for but the marriage I have could be a second marriage and his name could be a different spelling version.     3. No, I don't have any Kearney's in my files nor do I have an Alva Byers. Can you provide some for information on Alva such as parent and grandparent names, dates, etc. I have often wondered how the Byers from Canada are connected to the Byers coming out of Pennsylvanica, USA. They are bound to be connected back there somewhere and finding that connection might open some new doors for all of us.
