My problem is that since I retired I don't have time to answer all the emails that I receive regarding Byars history. My name is Raleigh Byars and I am a 5th generation Byars(5th generation Byars from Calhoun County, Mississippi). My gggrandfather (Joab Byars) came to Calhoun County in the early 1800's from Spartenburg, SC and many still live there, I now live in Oxford, Mississippi.
