Does anyone know about Sarah Drucilla Byars Harper born about 1831 AL in Jefferson County?(James W. Harper, her spouse, died 1868 from wounds of Civil War.. I believe she was the daughter of Thadius W. Byars and Permelia ???maiden unknown. Sarah Drucilla's only son was named Thadius W.Harper born about 1855.(various spellings, thadeus thaddius,thad, etc) She had the following children before James W. Harper died in 1868: 1. Mary Elizabeth Harper born abt 1849 2. Martha Emoline Harper b.6-24-1850 d.8-3-1937 buried Berryhill Cemetery, Winfield AL married William Benjamin Taylor 1850-1896 Berryhill 3. Sarah Eliza Harper b.7-30-1853 d.5-24-1926 buried Mt.Willing Cemetery Fayette Co.AL married David G. Love 1836-1912 no children 4. Nancy Y. Harper born about 1853 AL 5. Thaddeus W. Harper born about 1855 AL 6. Susannah F. Harper b. about 1858 # 7 and 8 children are unknown. probably born 1860 and 1862?? In the 1900 census, Drucilla Byars said she had eight children and 7 living. She filed a widow pension in Fayette County Alabama in 1901.
