Beverly, I wish that I could tell you more. I have found one of the childrens family of Martha EmolineHarper Taylor. She had the following children: Lavena J. Taylor b. aby1870: Lanna A.Taylor, b. abt 1872; Theodosia "Docia" Taylor b.9-25-1875 d.10-18-1940 buried Mt Willing Cemetery Fayette Co Al.; James A. Taylor b.3-7-1877; Susan M. Taylor b. abt 18l80; John T.'Taylor b.12-11-1882 d.4-19-1953 buried Mt Willing Cemetery,Fayette AL A former librarian from Lamar Co.AL sent me her history. I contacted a granddaughter in Alabama , but she knew nothing else except where Martha Emoline and William Benjamin Taylor wereburied which was Berryhill Cemetery near Winfield. I am not sure if it is in Fayette or Marion Co. The lines run very close to Winfield and Guin. I have the 1908-1959 Death CD, and I do not find Sarah Drucilla on it. She could have possible died before 1910. She never remarried, I found her up until 1900. She was either in the household with Martha Emoline or Elizah as a widow. Elizah Harper Loves death cert. says her mother was born in Jefferson Co. AL. I believe the Byars were into Jefferson Co. and Walker, and Fayette co. early on. Elizah Love had no children to trace. Due to the 1880-1900 span of time, without marriage records, I do not know how to trace the females. I haven't been able to trace Thaddeus W. Harper either. Being born in 1855, he was too young for the Civil War. I found on the BYARS Genforum that a James Joseph Byars Married Elizabeth Walker, who was the daughter of Thadeus Walker and Nancy BYARS born 1776 But, Joseph died in 1830==========My Sarah Drucilla was born abt 1831. James and Elizabeth had a Thaddeus Byars and also a Drucilla Byars. and two more children after drucilla. If he died in 1830 those three children would have been born in the 1820's. There was also an email from a Moochsw@aol.com that stated a thaddeus D.Byars married Melissa Shar in 1846, this was tooooo late for my Sarah Drucilla Byars Harper. There was another from Nathan Byars, Drucilla Jane Byars b. 1772 married Abner Womack. I guess the point is every few decades, a Sarah Drucilla was born. I wish I knew more. Any help will be greatly appreciated. These people have to be descendents of Nathan Byars (1749-1846). The names Drucilla and Thaddeus are common names in that Line. I am descended from that line. I did a quick look, but did not see the connection. I'll look more closely at my notes. Do you know who Drucilla's parents were? Ron
