Thanks for repying. I started this search in 1998 but stopped ans I've lost most of the information. My ggrandfather's name was Isom Byars married to MaryAnn they settled in Blunt County Alabama(north of Jefferson county). My grandfather Phee Arthur Byars was born in Northern Alabama, Cullman County in 1883. PheeArthur had brothers named Jerry, Will and George Byars. PheeArthur had sisters's named Emma, Martha and Betty. Phee Arthur Byars married my grandmother Lula Flanigan - Haygood from Fayette County Alabama. I am a Black-American and my relatives could possibly be connected to your relatives through slavery. I am very interested in finding more about the Byars family. Perhaps I can find more information about my ggrandfather and others.
