But I believe my Mary Ann who married a Thomas H. Noland is related to Byars. In the census Franklin Co AL of 1860 (?,I think), Mary Ann is a widow with two boys by the name of Byars. Maybe grandsons but could be nephews. Mary Ann Noland is my gggrandmother and is buried in Crawford, TX. Thought 'Byars' might be her maiden name. Can you shed some light on this? Thanks.
