Hi Janet, Work is progressing on putting the 1841 census on-line. The database can be found at; http://freecen.rootsweb.com If you go there you will find on the left-hand side the access to the database. At the time of writing Cumbrae, Kingarth and half of the burgh of Rothesay are on-line and probably within the next 24 hours the second half of the burgh will be added. Work has still to be completed on Arran and the landward part of the Rothesay parish which includes North Bute. Please note that the database is still in its initial setup and there is a phased access to it. You may be able to get on it right away or you will be told how long a delay to expect.
