Heather I had a quick look for this family, as I thought that Matthew SOMMERVILLE might have been a distant relative of mine, but this turns out to be a different Matthew SOMMERVILLE. Your Matthew SOMMERVILLE died at Vulcan Cottage, Millport, Cumbrae, Buteshire, on 24 Jan 1890 at the age of 61. His death certificate records his parents as Thomas SOMMERVILLE, a Farmer, and Christina McLARTY. His widow, Agnes BUNTAIN, died at the same address (with the addition of the words "Glasgow Street") on 29 Oct 1916 at the age of 83. Unfortunately (and unusually) her death certificate does not name her parents, except to confirm her father's surname. Hope this helps.
