Arran is a larger island not far from Bute. You might want to look into that a bit further because she could not have been born on both islands. Also try www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk to find out if there is an Ann Anderson born on the Isle of Arran about the time frame you are looking at. It will cost a little bit of money but worth trying.
