Settled in Wilkinson County, Georgia circa 1805. I am also looking for a George McCook b. abt. 1752 who settled in Pennsylvania circa 1780. (this George McCook had sons who settled in Ohio). Some have these two linked as brothers but I have yet to find documentation for the sibling link. I found your message regarding John McCook and possible brothers James Daniel and George and thought perhaps you may have found further information. My George McCook b. abt. 1752 came to America from County Antrim, Ireland. I don't know for sure where he was born. He married Mary McCormick(McCormack). It is thought that Mary was from Glasgow Scotland. I do have a lot of info on both James Daniel McCook(1751) and George McCook(abt. 1752) and their families in America but have yet to find anything before 1780 in either Ireland or Scotland. So, if you have found any further info or think that perhaps these McCook men might link to your line, let me know.
