I would invite my great grandparents - Margaret McIntosh from Slate Quarry North Bute and her Irish husband Robert Brewster who married in February 1859. I would invite them so that I could ask them why they didn't register the birth of my grandmother Jane Brewster - I have searched and searched for a birth certificate but it does not appear to exist. I have made all sorts of suppositions but I would really like to know why.
