Errol I can't help you directly with your family, except to say that John Coombe Maddever MINEHAN would undoubtedly have been named after Dr John Coombe MADDEVER, for many years a well known Rothesay doctor whose name appears on many death certicates there (including some in my family). Don't expect therefore to find the name Maddever in earlier generations of your family - unless you know something that I do not.
