Hi- I am new to the list. I have recently found out that some of my ancestors were born in Bute (Isle of Aran). This confuses me a little. Aren't these two different places? The families I am searching for are FERGUSON & HAMILTON. Daniel David Ferguson was born abt 1800. He married Grace HAMILTON in Dundonald, Ayrshire Feb 12, 1833. Daniel was a shipmaster.
