I am interested in picking up any information at all about my Great Grand Parents and will really appreciate any morsel of help . William McNeil I believe was born on Rothsay on the Isle Of Bute I estimate in the 1860's or possibly 70's--we think his father was Daniel and his mother Elizabeth Palmer. I believe before emigrating to New Zealand he lived in Northern Ireland and married Elizabeth Brownlie who may have also been knwon as Annie Whiltshire in Wellington in 1892 ( how or why I don't know other than ahe may have been adopted it seems )--she came form the Isle Of Islay in Scotland it appears .
