Thanks for the welcome. Sorry I got the address of my first message wrong, the system is easy once you know how!! My grandmother's brother was Arthur Dykes and he lived in Rothesay around 1920. I believe he was a gardener and a member of the Rothesay Horticultural Society. He was born at Seaton Carew, Middlesbrough and the family moved to Boston Spa, Yks when he was quite young. In WW1 he served in the Royal Garrison Artillery - 4th Brigade - Highland Division. I would like to know if anyone knows of the family. I believe Arthur married and there were 2 daughters and a son.
