Reposting my Bute interests (Isle of Bute only - I don't think any of them were on the other islands). Relevant period would be from 1830s onwards. TAYLOR - particularly any relatives of: (1) Peter TAYLOR (b c.1789 d Rothesay 1861) m Julia ORR (2) John TAYLOR (1821-1856) m Ann SHARP in Bute in 1848 MALCO(L)M - usually without the second "L". This family came to Bute from Portencross or West Kilbride. HOGARTH - this family too came to Bute (in at least two "waves") from Portencross or West Kilbride. Martyn
