Madeleine, thanks for the response.... Has anyone heard of a naming convention using maiden surnames, rather than first names? Example: My grandparents named their first born Newell Bailey Jones. NEWELL was the maiden surname of my grandmother's GRANDMOTHER. BAILEY was the maiden surname of my grandmother's MOTHER. (Or, it could be my grandfather's mother. Both were Baileys.) I've always wondered if this was just something my grandparents did, or if it was an accepted naming convention. Thanks -
