Welcome to Walter Galica who has joined this week. If you haven't already contributed, we hope to hear from you soon. ****** ****** ****** Last evening, I chanced on a program on the "box" (on the Aussie national broadcaster ABC) entitled "Scotland the Brave" - 90 minutes of traditional music, song and dance performed at the Opera House in Sydney - including just one reference to Arran in the "Song of the Clyde". Begs the question were there any songs considered to be local to any of our three areas - Bute, Arran or the Cumbraes? Chapter 13 in volume 2 of the Book of Arran contains fifteen Gaelic songs of local origin (12 translated). Anyone know of any other sources? ****** ****** ****** Feel free to join in and present your own items.
