A couple of longshot enquiries that someone may have information on. In a letter my G Grandfather, Arch. McKinlay wrote to his cousin J.T. Stewart in 1894 he lists names and addresses of relations that the latter should look up on a return visit home from New Zealand. One was James MacIntosh living in Argyle Terrace. (No further info available.) The other was Mrs Bannatyne, wife of Revd. (W?) Bannatyne. Her brother was John and father was the late provost Jamieson [probably Neil]. The address is given as near "Mineral Well" East Bay Rothesay. I would be interested to here from anyone researching these families as I have failed to find any connections between these names and either the McKinlays or Stewarts. Cheers Bill McKinlay
