Have tried to reach Bill MARTIN unsuccessfully, so I'm now throwing my query out to the list. In an e-mail he wrote to someone else and which she kindly forwarded to me, re: the above names, he states that "prior to John MARTIN taking over Ardnahoe, he was preceded by John CRAWFORD, who farmed there in the early part of the 1800's, then by Archibald HALL & John HALL who farmed from about 1840..." In doing my research, I had kind of thought Ardnahoe was a community, because I had found an Alexander MARTIN, there in 1735 and a James MARTIN in 1745, which is fully 100 years before the MARTINS in which I am interested. Am I to take it then, that it is actually a name for a farm, not a little community? Bill told this other person that his father's cousin still lives at Ardnahoe, so I do know that the place name is still an active name. Is there a website where I might find out more about Ardnahoe?
